Bans are shared, not per-team. Whoever rolls higher gets the first protect, first ban, and first pick โ€” all decided by roll.
ban / pick / protect order

There is no fixed order. Whichever captain rolls higher gets a protect โ€” same for bans and picks. Everything is decided by rolls. Good luck.

There are no picking restrictions. A team may pick e.g. all HD maps in a row if they wish.
match rules
  1. Scoring is ScoreV1.
  2. Roll for everything โ€” protects, bans, and picks are all determined by roll.
  3. All times must be in UTC. If a team cannot use UTC, convert their local time to UTC.
  4. If a captain is not responding, ping their teammate. If the teammate is not responding, ping the captain.
  5. All match scheduling is done through the Discord โ€” post in the scheduling channel to agree on a time with your opponent.
  6. SP2 โ€” SV2 and SD (Sudden Death) are forced ON, NF is OFF.
  7. SP players can use freemod: NM HD HR EZ FL. DT is allowed only if both captains agree.
  8. Tiebreaker โ€” allowed mods: HD HR EZ.
  9. Free Mod โ€” Player 1: HD / EZ / HDEZ   Player 2: HR / HDHR   EZ multiplier: ร—2.
  10. If teams request NC instead of DT, the referee decides whether to allow it.
  11. Matches can be scheduled any time during each round, as long as a referee, streamer, and both players are available.
  12. If one player is absent, the present player may choose to continue the match 1v2 or forfeit. They are not obligated to play short-handed.
  13. โ†ณ If it becomes a 1v1 situation, that is allowed. If only one team joins and the opponent never shows, the absent team forfeits (dropped to losers, or eliminated if already in losers).
  14. No picking restrictions โ€” teams can pick any slot type back-to-back.
  15. If a team is missing a player for qualifiers, they may attempt it alone if they wish.
  16. โ†ณ When pinging a team and a captain says their teammate can't make it, remind them they can still attempt qualifiers solo.
SP map types
SP maps are pooled at NM star rating. Mods are optional: any combination of HD, HR, EZ, FL โ€” and DT if both teams agree.
SP1
Under 1-minute maps with heavy difficulty spikes.
SP2
Accuracy-focused maps.
SV2 + Sudden Death forced ON. NF forced OFF. Difficulty rises by +0.30โ˜… each map, from 2.0โ˜… to 4.1โ˜….
SP3
2B and/or aspire maps.
SP4
Skill cap maps.
SP5
Low AR maps.
match procedures
  • Players are pinged 15 minutes before their match.
  • Match invites are sent 10 minutes before start time.
  • If a player disconnects within 25โ€“30 seconds of a map starting (depends on map length), the map may be replayed once.
  • If a player doesn't show within 10 minutes, the opponent advances.
  • If neither player shows up, the match is decided by referee !roll 2.
streamers & commentators
  1. Use the correct overlay and skin.
  2. Make sure your audio is good โ€” commentators must actually be audible. Check levels before going live.
  3. Check player profiles before the match so you have material to talk about.
  4. Tourney client can be painful โ€” feel free to ask anyone for help, including players (the client is practically open source).
  5. You can acknowledge your chat. Don't feel like you need to ignore them completely.
  6. If you need help setting up OBS, just ask.
  7. Please save your VODs. Upload them to the Google Drive linked in staff links.
  8. Use the site for match info. Mention to viewers where they can check in for match details.
screening & additional notes
  • Players will be screened if they are outside the rank range, have a suspicious profile or behavior history, or have been restricted.
  • Excessive toxicity or cheating results in disqualification.
  • Staff are allowed to play as long as they meet rank requirements.
  • Please use English where possible.
  • You must be in the Discord server. Feel free to invite others.
  • If you'd like to apply as staff, we welcome the help.
This tournament is not using slot pooling. A map you see in RO64 may be completely different in type from the same slot in RO32.
